Obituary

James Michael Glennon, 46, of Hull, MA, passed away on January 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his parents, Michael and Maryann Glennon, of Hull, MA; his three sisters and their spouses, Jenny and Prakash Pandey of Newton, MA, Norah and Jake Fleming of Hull, MA, and Kerrin and Kevin Silva of Abington, MA, and his former spouse, Heather McKinnon of Waltham, MA. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces Emily, Maddie, Abby, Maya, Charlotte, and his nephew Kyle, who adored him and will miss him dearly. Jimmy was especially proud of his role as a father to his son, Henry, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished moments.

Raised in Hull, Jimmy developed a lifelong love for the beach and the tight-knit community he was part of. A proud graduate of Boston College High School, Jimmy maintained close friendships with his classmates. He later attended Boston University, where his passion for the city and its vibrant sports culture flourished. As a former hockey player, Jimmy was an avid Bruins fan, loved attending Red Sox games, and supported the Patriots with a fervor that was infectious to those around him.

Jimmy found his professional calling in real estate, where his natural charm, sharp instincts, and patience made him a trusted advisor to his clients. His ability to match people with homes they loved was his hallmark, and he built a reputation for being not only a skilled agent but a friend to many families throughout their home-buying journeys.

Those who knew Jimmy well will remember him for his infectious sense of humor, his sharp wit, and his encyclopedic knowledge of movies and television shows. He had a remarkable ability to quote his favorite films and shows at just the right moment, bringing laughter to every conversation. A keen observer of the world around him, Jimmy was also a knowledgeable and thoughtful conversationalist, able to discuss everything from local politics to global affairs with remarkable insight. His extensive knowledge of history and current events made every conversation with him insightful, and his ability to discuss a wide variety of subjects left a lasting impact on all who engaged with him.

Jimmy had a special place in his heart for summer days, especially those spent by the ocean. The Fourth of July was one of his favorite times of year, as he would gather with friends and family to celebrate at the beach, creating lasting memories. His gregarious personality made every event feel special, and his friends and family will forever treasure these moments.

Above all, Jimmy was a devoted father. He found his greatest joy in raising his son, Henry, and instilled in him the same sense of humor, kindness, and love that defined Jimmy's life. The special bond they shared was apparent to all who knew them, and their time together will remain a source of comfort for Henry and all who loved Jimmy.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Thursday January 9 from 4pm to 7pm, followed by a funeral service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jimmy's memory to Autism Speaks, a cause dear to his heart.

Though his time with us was far too short, Jimmy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He had a profound impact on the lives of those who were fortunate to know him.

Jimmy, your light will continue to shine brightly in the memories of all who loved you. Rest in peace.
