James Michael McLaughlin passed on July 26, 2015, at home in Wakefield, at the age of 44.  He leaves behind his father, John Edward McLaughlin, and stepmother, Laura McLaughlin, as well as his mother, Susan Merenda and Carmelo from Gloucester; sister Marianne McLaughlin from Gloucester; brother Jeff McLaughlin and wife Lisa; and his niece Brynn McLaughlin and Coen McLaughlin from Assonet; Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Saturday August 1 from 2 to 4pm, followed by a service at 4pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of James to: American Mental Health Foundation, Box 3, Riverdale, NY 10471-003 or American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
