James A.
Morse
June 14, 1958 – September 9, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Arthur Morse of Abington on September 9, 2024. Born on June 14, 1958, James was a beloved and cherished individual known for his friendly, kind, and loving personality.
James lived a life marked by hard work and dedication to his friends and family. He had a passion for golf, bowling, cooking, good music and especially cherished time spent with his loved ones. Sunday dinners were always the highlight of his week, bringing together friends and family to talk about life, love and football. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, a time to gather as many loved ones as possible in a single room, while the 4th of July was always celebrated with great food, joy and fireworks, making for some of the best nights of his life.
Always quick with a joke or a quote from his favorite movies, James had a unique ability to bring smiles to those around him. His open-hearted nature meant he could strike up a conversation with anyone, making new friends wherever he went and readily offering help to those in need.
James began his career at the Quincy shipyard before discovering his passion for electronics, specifically office equipment. This newfound interest led him to start his own business while also filming weddings on weekends to support his wife, Nancy, and their three children, Kerin, Adrian, and Alex. As a father, James was devoted, ensuring his family was well cared for.
James was the loving son of the late Richard and Alice Morse and the youngest of eight siblings: Loving brother of Charles Morse, Joseph Morse, Richard Morse, Charlene Morse, Sandra Morse, and the late Bruce Morse and late Dotty Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Morse; his children, Kerin Morse, Adrian Morse, and Alex Morse; his many nieces and nephews; and his four grandchildren.
James will forever be remembered for his kindness, deep love for those around him and his amazing meals.
Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Fuenral Home, Wednesday September 18 from 4pm to 7pm. A gravside service will be held Thursday September 19 at 11am in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
