Obituary

James (Jimmy) L. Rigby, 64, of Dorchester, MA, passed away peacefully on May 27th at his home in Abington, MA.

Born on April 27th, 1961, in Boston, MA, Jimmy was the youngest of three children to the late James and Jean Rigby. He was the beloved younger brother of the late Linda Scopa (Rigby) and Jean Bowes (Rigby).

Jimmy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he dedicated his career to hard work as a teamster, working for Casey and Hayes. Known for his strong convictions and unwavering loyalty, Jimmy was a man who stood firmly for what he believed in and always placed his family at the center of his world.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Rigby; his cherished daughter, Desiree Clark; and his adored granddaughters, Isabella and Baylee. He also leaves behind his nephews, Stephen Scopa and Jake Oliveira; his niece, Kim Oliveira; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Jimmy's legacy of strength, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Abington on Monday June 2, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Followed by a funeral home service in the funeral home at 12PM.
