James W. "Jim" Lavin of Abington, February 8, age 68, Loving husband of Kathy (Walsh) Lavin of Abington; Beloved father of J. William Lavin and wife Andrea of Plymouth, Jessica Lavin Griffin and husband Kevin of ME, Kaitlyn Pratt Avary of GA, Adam Pratt and wife Kathleen of Brockton, and Erinrose Lavin of Abington; Loving brother of David Lavin and wife Elaine of CA; Loving Godfather of Maureen Dannemann Burns of Plymouth; Loving grandfather of Liam and Emma Lavin, Tanner Griffin, and Gyanna Baiona. Jim was the Abington Director for the South Shore Tri Town Development Corp. (Southfield). He was a long time member of the Abington finance Committee and was the president of Lavin Reality Advisors of Quincy. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams St., Abington Wednesday Feb. 12 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8pm. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
