Janet  (Nickley )Madigan of Abington, July 15, age 58, Loving wife of Patrick Madigan Jr. of Abington; Loving mother of Patrick Madigan III and wife Jessica of Abington and Evan Madigan and fiancée Meghan of Abington; Loving daughter of Marilyn Nickley of Abington and the late Joseph T. Nickley Sr.; Loving sister of Joe Nickley Jr. of Abington, John Nickley of Abington, Michael Nickley of Norwood, Geraldine Capachione of Whitman, and Richard Nickley of Abington; Also, survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Janet received her MSN from Northeastern University and was a graduate of Stonehill College , Bridgewater University and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. She was the current Vice President Patient Care Services/CNO at New England Sinai Hospital. She was the past VP of Nursing at Q m uincy Medical Center and Director of Nurses at Brockton Hospital, as well as Project Manager of Patient Care Services at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was affiliated with numerous professional organizations and served as past president of both the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. She was the proud recipient of many professional   and leadership awards. A proud graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School and it's Drama Society, with the exception of her family, nothing brought her greater joy than working with both past and present students in their many productions. A fan of all Boston sport's teams, she enjoyed so many diverse activities, but her favorite pastime was her legendary shopping expeditions. Funeral from the Quealy & Son funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday July 19 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund at Cardinal Spellman High School in Janet's memory.
