Jason
Morgan
February 27, 1976 – May 5, 2024
Jason "Jay Boy" Morgan, age 48, originally from Plymouth, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024 after a long courageous battle with Huntington's Disease. Jay was born on February 27, 1976 at South Shore Hospital.
He was the beloved son of the late David and Cynthia Morgan and older brother of the late Timmy 'Slim" Morgan. Jason is survived by his son David, brother Andy, sister Marie, many aunts, uncles, cousins and his dear friend Cara, as well as a circle of close friends from his hometown of Plymouth.
Jason was a three sport athlete in highschool and a starting wide receiver, #81, for the Plymouth
Eagles Football team of the early to mid 90s. He enjoyed all sports including street hockey, basketball in the neighborhood and ice hockey on Great Herring Pond.
Jason always had a strong work ethic that was tough to match, working nights as a security guard at Plymouth Plantation, and as a landscaper during the day. He would later become a proud business owner of " Presidential Lawn and Landscape" which he successfully operated before the symptoms of Huntingtons became too much of a challenge.
Jason's personality was contagious, fierce, and intense, a mix that nurtured many deep, lifelong friendships, much like those of a close-knit family or brothers. Beneath that intense exterior was a giant heart of gold, making him truly one of a kind.
More than anything, Jason cherished being a father to his son, David. This relationship, the focal point of Jason's greatest pride, brought out the best in him, softening his edges and bringing joy that was palpable to anyone around him. David was truly the light of his life, a beacon during his darkest days.
Today, we say goodbye not just to a man, but to a father, a brother, and a friend whose journey reminds us of the stark realities and deep affections that shape our lives. Rest in peace, Jay Boy.
Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Friday May 10, 2024 from 11am to noon, followed by a funeral home service at noon.
