Joan E. Sheridan of Abington, passed away at South Shore hospital in Weymouth on October 5 at the age of 65. Joan was born in Norwood on March 27, 1957, to Thomas and Mildred Greenwood. Joan was the devoted mother to Victoria and Jameson Sheridan. She also leaves her former husband Michael Sheridan.

Joan was a loving sister to Tom & Lyn Greenwood, Patricia Vance, Michelle Kenney, John and Jill Greenwood, and Jane and Steve Herrick. They will miss their sister dearly.

Joan was a graduate from Norwood High school and then went onto graduate from University of Lowell. She worked for many years as an Accountant for channel 5 news and Channel 68 both in Boston area. When Joan relocated to New Jersey she worked as the Controller for the center of Humanistic Change in New Jersey.

Joan decided to retire in 2020 and move back to Massachusetts to be close by to her extended family. There was a lot of things Joan enjoyed, but hand crafting gifts was her specialty.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Monday October 10 from 5pm to 8pm. A visitation will be Tuesday from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral home service at 11am. Interment to follow at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
