John Joseph Barron died July 8, 2014 in Gilbert, AZ, at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late E. Christine (Flint) Barron; loving father of Christopher Barron and wife Sandra of Gilbert, AZ and Peter Barron and wife Eileen of Abington, MA; loving grandfather of Melissa Corrigan, Erinn Morris, Andrew and Patrick Barron; loving great-grandfather of Noah, Carly, Brooklyn, and Braelyn. John was a First LT in the Army Air Force during WWII flying in B17's as a lead bombardier. John later worked for Western Electric and AT&T, retiring after 40 years. He enjoyed wood working, travel, and was an avid Boston sports fan up to the end. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday August 6 from 9:30 to 11am, followed by a memorial service at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul, 455 Plymouth St., Abington, MA 02351.
