John J. Burns of Middleboro, February 13, age 84.  Born in Fall River he was the son of the late John and Mary Burns.  Loving husband of Marianne Burns; father of Joseph Pursley and wife Barbara of Middleboro, Heidi Jordan and husband Robert of NH, and Linda Moncy of New Bedford, also survived by 3 grandsons. John was a World War II veteran, having served in the Pacific Theatre.  He owned and operated Burns Electronic Supply Co. in New Bedford. He resided 16 years in Del Ray Beach, FL before returning to Massachusetts in 2008.  He was a member and past president of the Middleboro Rotory Club, Paul Harris Fellow, life member of Del Ray Beach VFW, Del Ray Beach volunteer police, Coast Guard auxiliary in Fairhaven where he docked his boat. . A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.
