John Paul
Ladouceur
May 5, 1944 – July 16, 2024
John Paul Ladouceur of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away on July 16, 2024 at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family.
John ("Pop") was a dedicated teacher for 34 years in the town of Middleboro, before moving to Florida to enjoy his much-deserved retirement. He loved to travel and enjoyed many adventures. He drove across the country multiple times in a motorhome, eventually covering all 50 states, and took countless cruises and Disney trips with his friends and family. His passion for travel also took him to more than 50 countries. He loved to explore new places and, of course, find a quaint pub on the corner.
Having grown up by the waters of Cape Cod, Pop loved a good boat ride, followed by a great cup of chowder. He was the ultimate foodie and could provide tips on the best restaurants wherever you might be visiting.
John will be remembered for his quick wit, caring heart, and giving nature. But mostly, he will be forever missed and remembered as a truly loving, gentle, and kind man.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Regina, and his two children whom he cherished and loved very much: Jeff (Maureen) Ladouceur of Collegeville, Pennsylvania and Renee Pezzi of Dennis Port, Massachusetts. His incredible legacy lives on in his four grandchildren for whom Pop beamed with love and pride: Lauren, Erin, Paul and Sarah. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Ladouceur of Wareham, MA and predeceased by his brother, Brian Ladouceur and parents, Elmer and Mary. He will be remembered fondly and missed by countless family members and lifelong friends. A private Mass and celebration of his life will be planned by family in the coming weeks.
