NALLY, John Kevin, of Abington, passed away on December 7, 2010 at the age of 71 following a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
John was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to the USA in 1960 at the age of 20. He worked in the financial community all of his career and he retired in 2003 after over twenty years with State Street Bank. He mentored many young professionals throughout his career. He also volunteered his time serving on the Board and as Treasurer of Harbor Health and delivering Meals on Wheels. John was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps., the BoSox Club, and Castle Island Association.
He was the beloved husband of Lois (Woodsome) Nally and devoted father of Kevin and his wife Kristen of Scituate and Jim and his wife Beth of Kingston. His greatest joy came from the time spent with his wife, family and his four grandchildren, Megan, Kate, Owen and Paige. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Vincent, and his sister, Margaret Hughes, along with nieces and nephews and countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. John touched the lives of many people and will always be remembered for his kindness, quick wit and trademark sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Saturday December 11 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Friday 5 to 8pm. Burial will be private.
