Obituary

John P. Saulenas of Boston formerly of Abington, April 24, age 91, Loving son of the late John and Victoria Saulenas; Loving brother of the late Joseph, Fr. Simeon, Walter, and Mary Saulenas, Sophie Carroll, Helen Kelliher, and Sister Mary Magdosia Saulenas CSJ; Survived by many nieces and nephews. John graduated from Abington High School class of 1939. He is a WWII Army veteran serving from 1943 to 1946 with the Fourth Antiaircraft Command Brigadere, and received the American Theater Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Ribbon. John volunteered at Immaculate Conception Church in Cambridge every weekend for over 40 years, and enjoyed fishing, tending to his bee hives, spending time with family, and attending church. A funeral mass will be held in St. Bridget Church, Abington Monday April 30 at 11am. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9am to 10:30am at the Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams St., Abington. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
