Joseph
Lawson
June 28, 1969 – February 4, 2022
Joseph Lawson, also known as "JoJo", 52, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2022. Joe was born in Abington, MA on June 28, 1969 to Stanley Lawson Jr. and Patricia Lawson. He attended Abington elementary and received his GED in his later years. JoJo was a well known, motivated arborist in south shore where he built his business, Cheap Tree over the years. He loved adventure and always was a thrill seeker. Up in the trees, high above the ground is where he enjoyed being. You could say he lived his life to the fullest and a little on the wild side but never without a smile. When he wasn't working he loved riding his motorcycle and corvette, tinkering on his toys, "lounging" watching football and most importantly spending time with his family any chance he had. JoJo will always be remembered by his infectious smile, big heart and lending hand. He leaves behind his four daughters who he cherished more than anything; Lexi, husband Sedrick McKinnon, of Columbia, NH., Brooke Lawson of Quincy, MA, Melissa Leclerc of Canton, MA and Cali and husband Malik McKinnon of Clovis, NM. His three sisters, Cheryl Force, of Abington, MA; Sheila Lawson, of Wareham, MA; Irene Melfi, of Homossasis, FL. Predeceased by his two brothers Charles Lawson of Plympton, MA; and Stanley Lawson of Homossasis, FL. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends as well as his beloved canine companion, Corona. Lastly, leaves behind his one and only present granddaughter, Myla who has made him extremely proud to be called Papa Joe. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12 from 1-4pm at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, Abington. All other services will be private per family request. Expressions of sympathy in memory of JoJo can be made to any animal organization or charity of one's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Quealy and Sons Funeral Home.
