Obituary

Joseph G. Turowski, Sr. 66 of Abington died unexpectedly December 21, 2010.  He was born in Boston, raised in Hough's Neck, and lived in Abington for the past 41 years. Loving husband of Patricia (Butler) Turowski, son of the late John Turowski and Helen M. (Marenghi) Turowski, loving father of Joseph G. Turowski, Jr., and Marie (Turowski) Singleton, brother of Jack, Ted, Peter, and Paul Turowski. Joe worked at the MBTA for 25+ years before retiring in 1991.  He spent his winters in Florida and his favorite place to be was "Old Towne" and Disney.  He loved antique cars and was a member of The Silver Lake Auto Club.  He enjoyed Cruise Nites, camping, history, and gardening (He had the green thumb and could grow anything!), and loved being outdoors.  His family and friends are going to miss him.  He provided great entertainment for all of us.  Joe's favorite saying was "The Bull Stops Here".  Joe was a kind hearted, giving man. He was one of a kind! He is survived by 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He also had five other children that he devoted his entire life to. Funeral services are private.  Donations can be made in Joe's memory to The American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
