Obituary

Joyce Ann Doonan, 64, of 71 Shaw Avenue, Abington, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on January 19, 2017 in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.  Joyce was a kind and generous soul.

Joyce was born on May 18, 1952 in Brockton.  She was pre-deceased by her parents, Edward and Barbara (Ward) Doonan and her sister, Janis Finneran. Joyce lived most of her life in Abington.

Joyce is survived by her three children:  John W. Berry, Erica M. Berry, Christopher A. Berry and his fiance, Jen Berardi and their children, Jaden, Isabella, Cameron, Melanie, Mia and Jaxson.  Joyce is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Lynch and her husband, Billy Lynch of Abington, many nieces and nephews.

Joyce's reach was felt by many.  Known by all as compassionate, giving and kindhearted.  Joyce always made herself available to help family and friends with any problem, big or small.  She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.  Joyce will be missed tremendously.

Visitation on Tuesday (January 24, 2017) from 4-7 p.m. in the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington.  A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday (January 25, 2017) at 9 a.m. in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's name to the St. Bridget Food Pantry.
