Joyce A. (Jackson) Hoyle of Whitman, formerly of Hanover and Abington,MA, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, at home with family, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Bettie and Dick Jackson, she grew up in Abington, graduating from Abington High School in 1964. She worked for many years for Continental Cable and most recently in the legal dept. of the corporate office of Dunkin Brands, Inc., in Randolph and Canton. A very generous person, she was always helping others. She enjoyed the beach, gardening, traveling and spending time with good friends. She leaves behind her beloved son Richard J. Hoyle Sr. and wife, Cheri, and grandchildren, Richard J. Hoyle Jr. and Liam J. Hoyle, of Leominster; her fiancé, Robert M. Phyllis of Whitman; her sister Linda L. Cardarople, and brother in law, Philip J. Cardarople, Jr., of East Bridgewater, her nephews David L. Cardarople of Rockland, and John M. Cardarople, his wife, Nichole Cardarople, and their children Kylie and Teagan, of Oxford, PA; and many, many friends. She was the Gold Star Mother of the late Lt. Edward H. (Ted) Hoyle and Lisa A. Hoyle. Burial will be private. Joyce did not want a wake or somber funeral. In its place, a life celebration service will be held at the United Church of Christ, 10 Bedford St., Abington, MA, on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lt. Edward "Ted" Hoyle ,III Scholarship Fund, c/o Bridgewater State Foundation, PO Box 42, Bridgewater, MA 02324-0042; of Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
