Kevin E. McGowan of Abington, April 7, 2014, age 90, Loving husband of the late June (Wentworth) McGowan; Loving father of the late Judy Paone; Loving son of the late Blanche (Wright) and Charles McGowan; Loving grandfather of Timothy Paone of CO;  Kevin was the last surviving sibling, predeceased by his 5 sisters and  1 brother.  Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. Kevin was born July 10, 1923 in Brighton, MA and graduated from Brighton High School.  He was a WW II Navy Veteran and served in the South Pacific. During the war Kevin and June were married.  After the war Kevin and June moved to Newton. Kevin worked for various car dealerships including Central Chrysler in the parts Departments. After retirement Kevin worked at BAT Bus in Brockton. He was a member of the Abington American Legion and the Abington VFW for over 20 years. Kevin loved bowling, yahtzee, playing cards, going on cruises, and was an avid fan of the Patriots and Red sox. Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Saturday April 12 from 3 to 7pm with a funeral service starting immediately after the visitation at 7pm.
