Laurie Drummond of Dorchester, December 29, 2023, age 65, Loving daughter of the late Fay Harrison Drummond and Byron Harold Drummond; Loving sister of Pamela A. Gillespie of Plymouth, and the late Cheryl Iliff, and Byron A. Drummond.
Laurie was born August 7, 1958 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Graduated from West Hill High School, Stamford, Connecticut, class of 1976 and received her Bachelor of Arts, School of Visual Art in Manhattan, Masters of Social Work from University of Pennsylvania, and a week cultural study in Morocco in 1980.
Laurie owned an art studio: "On the Bevel" in Manhattan. She had a one-person art exhibition in Manhattan consisting of black and white photography based on 8-. She worked as a social worker with children in Philadelphia, PA.
For the past 8 years Laurie was a resident of the Boston Home in Dorchester, MA, a home for individuals with advanced neurological disorders.
Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington on Wednesday January 3 from 9am to 10am, followed by a funeral serice in the in funeral home at 10am. Interment Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
