Obituary

Leona L. (DiCicco) Lowe of East Bridgewater formerly of Holbrook, December 6, 2010, age 83; Loving wife of the late James Lowe. Born and raised in Abington, Leona was the daughter of the late Michael and Lucia (DiGravio) DiCicco. Leona graduated from Abington High School and shortly after her marriage she and her husband, a naval officer, were stationed in Kodiak Alaska. Returning several years later and eventually settled in Holbrook. Leona worked in the shoe industry and later retired from Old Colony Elderly Services. She spent many enjoyable years caring for her own cats as well as neighborhood strays. Leona also enjoyed listening and dancing to country music. Leona is survived by her sister Olivia Belcher of Salem, and her loving nieces and nephews Christina Travi, Mary Elaine Perkins, Patricia Scanlan, Michael Sanna, Kenneth Belcher, Richard Grande, and Dennis DiCicco; Also survived by sister-in-law Mary DiCicco; Leona was the sister of the late Alfred, Mario, Avito, Fulvio DiCicco, Flora Stagliola, Olga Sanna and Hilda Grande. A Funeral Service will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Thursday December 9 at 4pm. Visitation prior to service Thursday 2 to 4pm. A committal service will be held Friday at 1:15pm in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations can be made to: Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph MA 02368.
