Lynda Lee
Scartissi
March 22, 1940 – March 16, 2025
Lynda Lee Scartissi 84, of Abington, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at South Shore Hospital. Born on March 22, 1940, in Boston, MA, Lynda was one of three children of the late Oulton and Marjorie Hues. She grew up in Weymouth, attending Weymouth High School, and later dedicated her career to administrative work, primarily in the insurance industry.
Lynda was a woman of warmth and joy, known for her love of family, the beach, and a good storm. Whether swimming in the ocean, playing bingo, or gathering for a game of cards, she embraced life with enthusiasm. Her sharp mind and love of games made her an exceptional card player, a talent her family admired.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert F. Scartissi, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage and a lifetime of friendship. She is also survived by her dear sister Anita M. Biggers of Palm Coast, FL, and was predeceased by her brother Oulton A. Hues of Norwood, MA.
Lynda was a devoted mother to Roberta J. Johannes and her husband, Lott, of Buena Vista, CO; Scott P. Scartissi and his wife, Maureen, of Buzzards Bay, MA; and Christopher J. Scartissi of Abington, MA. She was a cherished grandmother to the late Steven Scartissi, Elizabeth Scartissi, Samantha Johannes, Sydney Hauser, Krista Adams, Kaitlyn Scartissi, and Marisa Scartissi. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Damien, Preston, Colton, Tommy, Darcy, Jessie, and Ellie.
Lynda's love, laughter, and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held this summer, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
