Madeline A. Cox (Monopoli) of Abington, formerly of Readville, passed away on January 8, 2023, at age 86. Madeline was the daughter of the late Leonard and Adeline Monopoli of Readville. Wife of the late Joseph H. Cox, sister of the late Peter, John and Leonard Monopoli and mother in-law of the late Richard Grispi. Madeline is survived by her children, Joseph Cox Jr. and his wife Deborah Lee of Kington, Coreen Grispi of Plympton and Mary Hanley and her husband Richard of Abington. Madeline is "Nanny" to 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Madeline enjoyed great success as a realtor and found such satisfaction and happiness helping people find homes that she worked into her 70's. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends.

A visitation will be held at the  Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington on Monday January 16  from 11 am to noontime. A memorial service will follow beginning at at noontime.
