Marianne (Hickey) Nichols lifelong resident of Abington, died suddenly July 29, age 67. Devoted wife of 42 years to Paul E. Nichols of Abington; Loving mother of Ann-Marie Hallagan and husband Palmer of Plainville; Loving sister of Christine Hickey of Abington; Devoted grandmother of Abigail and Emma Hallagan; She was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Mary Hickey.

Marianne was a graduate of Abington High School and the Chandler School for Women. She worked as a legal secretary for the law firm Hauserman, Davis, and Shattuch for 10 years. Recently, she retired from South Shore Savings Bank where she was employed for 14 years. Marianne loved to work in her flower garden and especially cherished her time with her two granddaughters.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday August 4 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8pm. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers please do an act of kindness for someone in need.
