Marilyn A. (McNeil) Eaves, beloved wife of the late Edwin J. Eaves, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 3, 2026. She was 91 years old.
Born in Boston on February 8, 1935, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Karam) McNeil.
Marilyn grew up in Boston, where she met the love of her life, Eddie. They were married on September 8, 1958, and made their home in Holbrook, where they lived for the remainder of their lives together.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her friends in the "Selfish Club," visiting Twin River Casino, and cheering on the Boston Red Sox. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of St. Joseph Church for more than 60 years.
Family was at the center of Marilyn’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She particularly looked forward to holiday gatherings and lively games of Left Right Center with her family.
Marilyn is survived by her six children and their spouses: Cheryl and Michael Brugliera of Brockton; Karen and Thomas Cassidy of Albany Township, ME; Michael Eaves and Barbara Dawe of Hingham; Mark and Amy Eaves of Hanson; Lisa and Thomas Hatch of Leland, NC; and Susan and Christopher Boensel of Holbrook. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Lauren Cassidy, Kevin Cassidy, Nicole Hopkins and her husband, Will; Matthew Eaves and his wife, Talia; Rachel Hatch; Michael Eaves; and Christopher Boensel; her great-granddaughter, Madelyn Hopkins; her three sisters and their spouses: Dawn-Marie and Ron Buttafoco of Bridgewater, Jacqueline Dirubbo of Stoughton, and Maryann and Jack Wilson of Taunton; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kenny Eaves of Pelham, NH, Diana and Ron D'Amato of Tewksbury, Donna and Butchie Beshere, and Alan Eaves, all of Winthrop; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Jill Eaves; her brother-in-law, David Dirubbo; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol and John White; and Judy Eaves.
Marilyn will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and the love and kindness she shared with everyone who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor and remember Marilyn at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington from 4 PM until 8 PM on Monday, June 8th. Her Funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 South Franklin Street, Holbrook. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
