Mary "Lorraine" McPhee, of Abington, passed away on June 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 97 years old. Mary was born in Brockton, MA on July 13, 1926 to the late John & Mary McPhee.  Mary grew up in Dorchester and eventually moved to Abington where she spent the remainder of her life.

Mary is survived by her sister-in-law Marie McPhee of Abington, MA, nephew John F. McPhee and his wife Loran Lang of Boston,  nephew William G. McPhee and his wife Cheryl of Whitman, MA, and her niece Mary S. McPhee of Abington as well as several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her parents John and Mary McPhee as well as her sister Claire McPhee and brother John McPhee.

Mary worked as clerk for a local insurance company for many years as well as working in the admission office at The New England School of Law.

She absolutely loved cooking and working around her yard. She was an avid world traveler and would always say yes to going out to eat for a meal. There was no greater joy in life than her family.  She loved everyone very much and always enjoyed getting together with family at holiday gatherings.

A visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street Abington, on Monday July 1, from 9 AM to 10 AM followed by a funeral home service at 10 AM.  Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton, MA.

Lorraine's family would like to send a special  thank you too the staff and caregivers at Bridges by EPOCH in Hingham as well as the staff at Ascend Hospice for their loving and wonderful care they gave to Lorraine for the last year and half of her life.
