Obituary

Michael W. Cox, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Brockton on November 17, 2025. Born in Lowell, MA, Michael grew up in Whitman and was a 1978 graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.

The son of the late Reginald and Marianne Cox, Michael was a proud and devoted father to Christopher, Adam, and David. He is survived by his sons Adam and David, his brother Gerry and his wife Cathy, and his brother Tim and his wife Joy. He will also be missed by his nephew Alex and his nieces Samantha, Caroline, and Julia, along with his three beloved dogs—Vincent, Caterina, and Finnegan—who were truly part of his family.

Michael dedicated more than 25 years of his life to serving others as a paramedic, working at several private EMS companies throughout the region. His commitment to caring for people was not just a job, but his calling.

Outside of work, Michael was known for his passions. He was a lifelong drummer and lover of music, an enthusiast of dogs, and someone who loved learning about cars, airplanes, and boats—always reading, watching, and discovering what was new in the world of technology. He was also an avid Formula 1 fan, eagerly following each season and race.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to any charity close to your heart, just as Michael would have appreciated.
