Muriel E. (Cass) Sautter, 88, of Scituate, died peacefully on March 29, 2014 following a period of declining health.

She was born in Arlington, daughter of the late Bertram E. and Helen E. (Huntley) Cass and attended local schools.  Mrs. Sautter was a professional seamstress associated with several interior decorators.  In addition, she made coats and scarves for the family's dogs.  A quilter, Mrs. Sautter was a member of the Crosstown Quilters and the Herring Run Quilters Guild.  She was enthusiastic about teaching others to quilt, writing letters to her many quilting friends.  Mrs. Sautter treasured her family and enjoyed reading.

Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Sautter.  Devoted mother of Richard G. and his wife, Kathleen A. Sautter.  Cherished grandmother of Karen Errichetti and her husband, Vincent, Julie Owens and her husband, John.  Loving great-grandmother of Johnny and Emily.  Also survived by her two Westies, Leo and Riley.

Funeral services on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning, beginning at 10 o'clock.

Interment will follow in Groveland Cemetery, Scituate.
