Olivier
Romain
October 3, 1985 – December 30, 2025
Olivier Romain, 40, of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly at home on December 30, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1985, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and was the son of the late Augustin Romain and Jeancilia Jean Luis.
Olivier was an artist and a selfless member of his community. In the three years since arriving in the United States, he dedicated himself to learning English, working diligently to support himself and his family in Haiti, and pursuing his passion for bringing art to humanity. He believed deeply in the power of culture, creativity, and self-expression to connect people across the world.
He often shared this guiding philosophy:
"Believe in yourself and believe in your dreams; you'll never stop dreaming. When you stop dreaming, you stop living as an artist. Never dim the light within you to show others how to love your culture. What we offer from our culture can inspire the connection of humanity."
This vision was expressed through his art and exhibitions wherever he traveled.
A devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Olivier lived a life rooted in faith, service, and kindness. He especially cherished time spent with his family, particularly during celebrations when everyone gathered together under one roof.
Olivier was the beloved husband of Monica (Cruz) Romain, with whom he shared a deeply private and intimate life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He is survived by seven siblings and seventeen nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored dearly.
Olivier will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his gentle spirit and creative light.
A Funeral Service will be held at Braintree Seventh-day Adventist Church, 250 Washington Street, Braintree, Massachusetts, at 10:00 a.m.
