Patricia J. Swanson of Abington, MA went to her Heavenly Father on December 15. Loving wife of 54 years to John Swanson; Loving mother of David Swanson and his late wife Michielle of Burlington, MA; and Karen (Swanson) Matheson and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, MA; Loving grandmother of Emily, Matthew, Nora, Daniel, Joshua, and Jenna. She was 77 years old.

Patricia was born in Cambridge, MA and graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester, MA. She lived in Abington for 43 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Abington where she was active in the Women's Fellowship. She worked as an executive secretary at Old Mr. Boston and then for 20 years at Watson Wyatt. Patricia enjoyed doing word puzzles and learning new jokes that she would tell to her family. Every year, Patricia enjoyed trips to visit her family in Florida and Nova Scotia, Canada. She enjoyed frequent cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 18 from 5 to 8pm at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington. A Funeral Service will be held Friday 10am at the United Church of Christ, 10 Bedford Street, Abington. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
