Paul Robert Emery, 61, of Abington, MA, passed away at his home on February 12, 2026.

Paul was born on July 16, 1964, in Weymouth, MA. He was one of six children born to the late Paul "Ray" Emery and Sheila (MacLeod) Emery.

Paul grew up in Abington and attended Abington schools before going on to graduate from South Shore Vocational Technical High School in 1983. After graduation, he worked a few different jobs before eventually joining Emery Contracting with his brother, Michael. Paul had a brilliant mind, which was clearly reflected in his exceptional craftsmanship.

Growing up in a large family, there was always laughter and shenanigans, and Paul certainly took part in many of them. The memories created during those years will be cherished forever. Paul was a caring and generous person with a big heart. He was always willing to give to those he loved and to anyone in need.

Paul leaves behind his five siblings: Cheryl Poole and her husband Roger; Michael Emery and his wife Deborah; Catherine Spaziani and her husband Anthony; Deborah Calderara and her husband Jake; and Peter Emery and his wife Nancy. He also leaves behind thirteen nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Paul also leaves behind his former wife, Susan Ferreira Emery; his stepson, Todd Ferreira and his wife Judy; and his beloved grandchildren, Zack and Nora. As "Papa Paul," he absolutely adored his two grandchildren, who filled his heart with joy.

A visitation will be held from 2:00–5:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, at Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA.
