Paul E. "Pa" Mattson of Rockland, passed away May 30, 2012 after a long illness, age 73. Born and raised in Quincy, he worked for the City of Quincy, Antonelli Iron Works, and the Quincy Ship Yard for a short time. He moved to Rockland in 1990. Paul loved watching his two oldest grandsons play hockey and enjoyed fishing and carpentry. Paul is survived by his wife Joanne (LoConte) Mattson of Rockland; His children Linda (Cara) Mattson of Rockland, Michael Mattson of Rockland, Dean Mattson of RI, and Denise (Puglisi) Mattson of Plymouth; A sister Mildred DeCesare of Quincy, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Mattson family welcomes loved ones and friends to celebrate Paul's life at the Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington on Monday June 4 for a visitation from 4 to 7pm. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday June 5 at 11am. Cremation to follow.
