Peter J. Cooper of Abington, died December 1, 2024 at the age of 83. Peter is survived by his sister Christine Murphy of Abington, loving wife Susan (Carroll) Cooper of Abington; daughters Danise Carroll Small of Abington and Paula Cooper of Hillsboro, NH, his son Peter Cooper and his wife Nicole Cooper of Marshfield MA; and his four grandchildren who he loved and admired, Lawson, Shelby, Logan, and Austin. Peter enlisted as a U.S Marine out of high school and served his country for four years until 1963. Following his service, Peter became a car mechanic by trade, working for Dave Dinger Ford for over 38 years. Peter loved to work with his hands; you could always find him in the garage or driveway working on something. He was Mr. Fix it. In his free time Peter enjoyed fishing, taking film photography in nature with his Canon T88, and taking his family on trips to his family cabin in Maine by way of his Ford truck, "Old Blue". Peter will always be remembered fondly by friends and family for his contagious smile and cheerful laugh.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home on Monday December 9 from 11am to noon, followed by a funeral home service at noon. Interment will be held at a later date in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
