Obituary

Richard "Richie" Orlandi III of Hull passed away at the age of sixty-nine on January 6, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones after a short yet courageous battle. He was predeceased by his larger-than-life father, Richard "Pups" Orlandi and his gourmet cooking mother, Mary Ann "Gans" (Maggiacomo) Orlandi, as well as his beloved and cherished older sister, Marlene Orlandi, and his vibrant baby brother, Mark Orlandi. His younger brother, John Orlandi, of Hull mourns the loss.  Richie is survived by his longtime companion, Andrea Micheli of Chicago, and his three children that he loved and provided for fiercely, Luke Orlandi of Marshfield, Angela Orlandi-Weaver and her husband, Geary Weaver, of Marshfield, and Stephanie Orlandi and her long-time partner, Joseph Amaral, of Marshfield as well as their mother, Elizabeth Orlandi, of Boynton Beach, FL. Richie was lovingly known as Nonno by his pride and joy, Francesca Weaver along with his bonus grandson, Giovanny Weaver.

Uncle to Richard and Dawn Orlandi of Whitman and Kerin and Darwin Mendoza of Braintree, as well great uncle to his great nieces and nephews; Caesar, Roman, Sophia, Ava, Dudley, and Leila. Brother-in-law to Barbara Haley Orlandi and Susanna D'Arcy.

We cannot forget the great love that he shared for his second family, the Teamsters Local Union 25, where he established and developed his career. Richie devoted himself to the Teamsters Brotherhood and enjoyed all the benefits of being a Teamster, traveling, lifelong friendships, and trade-show swag.

From the North End to Hull to Marshfield and back to Hull, Richie enjoyed his last years living life beaching at Nantasket and fishing off Hull Bay. To know Richie, was to love him and to be loved by him, was to be fed. Whether you were visiting for the first time, attending the yearly Christmas Eve gatherings, living nearby, or being privileged enough to be in his inner circle, you weren't leaving without his famous cutlets or meatballs and those who knew, knew to bring their own Tupperware. Although his loss is immeasurable to others, family and friends feel blessed by having him in their lives.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's of the Assumption 208 Samoset Avenue  Hull, MA. As Richie was known for his commanding presence, the family is continuing to respect his requests by refraining from holding visiting hours.
