Robert O. Brett, 78, who grew up in Abington, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 2, 1946.

Rob is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah (Mansani) Brett, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. He leaves behind his daughter Nicole and her husband Andrew Winiewicz Jr. of East Bridgewater, and their three children. More than anything, "Pa" loved being a part of Vera, Mia, and Grant's lives—cheering from the sidelines at countless sporting events and creating cherished memories that his family will hold dear forever.

He was the son of the late Ralph Brett and Janet (Gallagher) Brett, and is survived by three siblings: Cheryl Mallas and her husband Alan of Brockton, Ralph Brett of Tennessee, and Jane Brett and her partner Shaun Fitzgerald of Brockton.

Rob was an avid baseball, football, and basketball player. His greatest passion was golf—he was a proud member and club champion at Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton. Professionally, Rob worked in landscaping and construction, spent 7 years as an ironworker, and proudly served as a police officer in Abington for 26 years, retiring in August 2005.

He leaves behind many loving family members and countless friends. Rob's kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday April 15, from 4 PM to 7 PM. A Funeral Home service will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday April 16 at 12 PM. Followed by interment in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
