Robert J. Gately of Abington, May 24, age 71, Loving husband of Betty (Figlewicz) Gately of Abington; Loving father of Jennifer Clark and husband Matthew of Hanson, and Christine Robbins and husband Scott of Rockland; Beloved grandfather of Christopher and Hailey Robbins, and Madeline and Jack Clark.

Robert was a former longtime employee of the Boston Globe and an active member of St. Bridget Church.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday May 27 at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 10:30am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm.
