Ruth Murphy Allen of Abington, MA passed away at Brigham and Woman's Hospital on July 12, 2023. Ruth was born on September 19, 1953. She was the daughter of Elaine Taylor and Henry Barends. She was predeceased by her husband William Allen. Ruth is survived by her children Michael Murphy, Donna Murphy, and Susan Murphy. She was the loving grandmother to Keondra, Joe, Markie, Darell, Kayla, Alyssa, Brianna, Michael, Matthew and Jayceon. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Jalia, Javen, Blake, and Landon. Ruth was the loving sister to Linda, John, Joanne, Mary, Dorothy, Diane, William and Elaine. She was predeceased by her brother Charles, William and James. She will be missed by many cousins nieces nephews and friends.

Ruth loved going to casino and playing scratch tickets. She was a avid keno player and will be missed for her incredible crocheting skills.
