Shirley Ann (Salvucci) Hermanson of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 5, 2025, at the age of 89.

Shirley was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Robert J. Hermanson. A devoted mother, she was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Campbell and her husband Michael and is lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Morris and her husband Kevin, and her son Glenn Hermanson and his partner Pam Norton. She was the cherished "Nonie" to her grandchildren: Patrick, Sean, Nicholas, Daniel, Michelle, and Jared, who brought immense joy to her life.

Born and raised in Quincy, Shirley was a proud graduate of Quincy High School. She began her career as a secretary at A&P corporate offices before dedicating herself to raising her family. Later in life, she worked for the Patriot Ledger as a sorter.

Shirley found joy in traveling, spending winters in Naples, Florida, where she and her husband built lasting friendships. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and sharing "driveway wine" with her neighbors. However, her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her family and grandchildren.

She was survived by her brother Paul Salvucci and the late Richard Salvucci. Shirley will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to have known her. Her love, warmth, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 13, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, Weymouth, MA. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
