Steven D. Freed of Norwell, MA, 73, died at home on December 3, 2022, due to appendiceal cancer. Born in San Francisco, he is survived by his wife Rebecca and his three children Richard (wife Alisa Freed), Amanda (partner Natasha Tessone), and Samuel (wife Jessica Freed), and two grandsons, James and Sagan. In addition, he leaves his sisters Terry Fahey (husband Kevin) and Marianne Steach (husband Bill).

Steven attended Junipero Serra High School and the University of San Francisco. He was a CPA and worked for several companies in the Boston area as a controller and analyst. He enjoyed travel, nature, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trustees of Reservations/Norris Reservation at thetrustees.org.
