Thomas R. Deveney of Abington, November. 1, age 76. Loving husband of Constance Deveney of Abington; Devoted father of Joseph, Michael, and Lisa Deveney, and the late Christine Deveney; Cherished brother of James Deveney, Barbara Redmond, and Richard Deveney; Adored grandfather of Matthew, Haley, Sarah, and Michael Deveney; Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was an educator for the Boston Public School System for 37 years and retired from the Kenny School in Dorchester as the principal. He also taught at Northeastern University in the School of Engineering for 30 years. He served on the Abington School Committee for 3 terms and enjoyed spending time at the YMCA and riding his bike around Abington.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday Nov. 6 at 9:30am followed by a funeral in St. Bridget Church, Abington 10:30am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
