Walter D. Delaney of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, July 9, 2013, age 76. Loving husband of the late Eleanor A. (McLaughlin). Loving son of the late Kenneth and Ada Delaney. Loving father of Linda Panek and husband Thomas of Norton, Nancy Cadigan and husband Steven of Tewskbury, Christine Barbieri and husband Stephen of Hampton, NH, Paul Quigley and wife Sara of Easthampton, Matthew Delaney and wife Roberta of Brockton, Kim McArdle of Hull, Walter D. Delaney Jr. of Weymouth, John Delaney and wife Karen of Haverhill, Christopher Delaney and wife Sharon of Hull, and the late William M. Quigley Jr. Also, survived by 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Walter was a retired Master Gunnery Sgt. of 32 years, USMC, and retired from the MBTA. Visitation will be held at the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington, Thursday July 11 from 4 to 7pm. Funeral service and interment in St. Patrick Cemetery will be private.
