William "Bill" John Dalton

William John Dalton, known to family and friends as Bill, passed away on September 10, 2026, at MUSC Health University Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1956, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and lived a life marked by warmth, humor, loyalty, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.

Bill was the beloved husband of 30 years to Jodi Marie Dalton, who described him as the love of her life and her best friend. He was a devoted father and family man who took great pride in his children and in the many roles he held within his family. He is survived by his wife, Jodi Marie Dalton; his children, Kelly Dennis (Zach Botelho) of Fall River, Massachusetts, David Dennis of Hemingway, South Carolina, Buzz Dalton (Jennifer Kalashian) of Waltham, Massachusetts, Ben Dalton (Bailley) of Marshfield, Massachusetts, and Robert Fuqua of Brockton, Massachusetts; his sister, Cheryl Dalton Amendola (Jay) of Pleasant Gardens, North Carolina; his brother-in-law, Scotty Parker; his sister-in-law, Laurie Nelson Dalton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his lifetime special friends, Donna and Nick Hubbard of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

He was predeceased by his parents, William Francis Dalton and Margaret Andella Dalton, as well as by his brother, John Dalton, and his sister, Margaret Dalton. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and he carried his family history with him with quiet pride.

Bill retired from Super Coups, where he worked as a graphic designer. He was known for his creativity, his steady work ethic, and the care he brought to everything he did. He was a lifetime learner who remained curious about the world around him and always found joy in discovering something new.

Bill lived life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure. He loved many genres of music and especially enjoyed going to concerts, having attended more than 100 in his lifetime. He also loved to sing karaoke, and his laughter and jokes were a familiar and welcome part of any gathering. He enjoyed classic cars, riding motorcycles, and driving on the open road. He travelled whenever he could, almost always with his wife, Jodi. When he was home, he spent time tinkering in his garage, where he found satisfaction in working with his hands and making his next project.

He was also captain of his dart team and was admired for his friendly nature and competitive spirit. Bill loved his Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. He was also interested in NASCAR. He loved food and bread of all types and enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful.

Above all, Bill loved being a dad and treasured his family deeply. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him, and he will be remembered with love by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation will be held at Quealy and Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Massachusetts, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life will take place after funeral services at Avon VFW Post 8892, 263 East Main Street, Avon, Massachusetts, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
