William F. Gassert of Whitman, died August 3, 2019 after a long battle with cancer, age 49, Loving son of the late Arthur and Eileen Gassert; Loving brother of Louise Gassert Searle of Martha's Vineyard and Arthur Gassert of Martha's Vineyard; Also, survived by his loving girlfriend Arlyce Hansen of Whitman, former girlfriend Robin Harris, and his cousins Steve, Tony, Amy, and Lori. Several nieces and nephews.

William was a truck driver of 15 years. William loved his five 5 basset hounds, Otis, Murphy, Rosie, Tashmoo, and Boeing.
