William "Bill" F. Marcelonis, of Abington, passed away on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 88 years old.

Bill was born in Dorchester on June 3, 1937, the son of the late John and Martha Marcelonis.

He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Ann (Egan) Marcelonis of Abington. Devoted father of Eileen Marcelonis and her husband, Kenneth Magnuson, of Abington, and the late Ann "Annie" Marcelonis.

Bill was the cherished "Papa" of Alana, Amanda, and Alison Magnuson, and Charles Marcelonis, all of Abington. He was also survived by his son-In-law Charles Wilbur of Abington.

He is survived by his siblings, Joseph Marcelonis of Hanover and Martha DiStasio of Quincy, and was predeceased by his brothers, John and Charles Marcelonis. He also leaves several nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Bill proudly served as a Court Officer for the Massachusetts State Senate for 32 years prior to his retirement. Above all, family meant everything to him—he especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street on Tuesday April 7, from 9 AM to 10 AM. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Bridgets Church on Tuesday April 7 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
