William (Bill) Morrell, 73 years of age, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at home in Abington, surrounded by family. Born July 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Harold Morrell and Helen (Dunphy) Morrell.

Bill loved everything outdoors; working in the yard, taking trips cross country, sunsets at Race Point, all of nature and his favorite of all, fishing. He was an avid fisher, and loved nothing more than the fishing trips with his sons which brought him such joy and happiness. Bill enjoyed seeing his family together whether it was simply having dinner together, or getting together with extended family for no reason at all.  He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather and a great friend to many. Bill had long retired from the T and for the past years had been working at Milton Hospital. He will be sorely missed by his friends and colleagues.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, Virginia (Ginny) Morrell his loving wife of 38 years, along with his 5 children Tracy (Morrell) Coakley and her husband Christopher Coakley of Abington, Peter Morrell and his wife Sandra (Johnson) Morrell of Abington, William (Billy) Morrell and his fiancé Iryna Goldina of Quincy, Joseph Morrell and his wife Michelle (Mulligan) Morrell of Abington, and Elizabeth Morrell of Abington. Bill also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 4 siblings; Michael Morrell of GA, Judith (Morrell) Barry of Lynnfield, MA, Susan (Morrell) Barrett of FL, and Kenneth Morrell of Quincy, and their spouses, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Friday February 3 at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm. Interment will be private. For directions and online guestbook www.quealyandson.com
