Donna Marie (Bonfiglio) O’Connor, passed away on November 23, 2021. She was born in Chelsea and grew up in the North End of Boston and in Medford. She was the youngest of 5 children. She married Cambridge native, Edward O’Connor in 1967 and subsequently moved to Abington in 1970 and lived there for the rest of her life.
Her life was her family. Together with her husband, she raised two children. She rejoiced in our successes and consoled us when we had setbacks.
She absolutely delighted in her grandchildren and was fondly nicknamed “Gaga” by her granddaughter.
In later years, she would frequently go on cruises with her husband, sometimes with her children, friends, or with her sister- in- law Lillian Wisniewski and her husband Walter. She attended mass at St. Bridgets Church in Abington every week and her children received the sacraments there throughout the years. She was devoted to her husband and was his primary caretaker as he has bravely battled through various illnesses through the years.
Donna is survived by her husband Edward, who is currently recuperating in Brockton Hospital, her son, Kenneth O’Connor and his wife Louisa, her daughter Karen Lynch & her husband Brett Lynch and their children, Hailey and Justin Lynch.
She loved fiercely, openly and without reservation, was taken from us far too soon, but she’ll forever be in our hearts.
