Doris Arsenault (Cahill) passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 27th at the age of 86. Doris was originally for Roxbury MA and moved her family to Abington 60 years ago. While living in Abington she made many lifelong friends. Doris was always quick to volunteer her help whether it be to watch a child, give someone a ride or make one of her signature batches of Potato Salad, Meatballs, or her famous Strawberry Desserts. She was a devoted Grandmother that had a special thing that she did for each of her Grandchildren to make them feel special. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Arsenault. Devoted Mother to her 4 children son Mark Arsenault and his Life Partner Louise Cavanaugh of Whitman, Daughter Ann (Arsenault) Chafe and her Husband Robert Chafe of Abington, Daughter Karen (Arsenault) Brainard of Holbrook, Daughter Carol (Arsenault) Mortimer and her Husband Ron Mortimer of Abington. Cherished Grandmother to Lindsay Lukason, Matt Arsenault, Nicholas Arsenault, Sarah Viadero, the late Jessica Arsenault, Andrew Chafe, Bre Mortimer, Carlie Brainard, Riley Brainard and Great Grandmother to Adele, Aubrey, Haley, Davis, Sophia, and Jackson. She is survived by her Brother James (Butch) Cahill, his wife Jean Cahill and Sister-in-law Carol Cahill, pre deceased by her Sister and Best Friend Blanche (Bunny) Climo, Brothers Raymond (Bif) Cahill, Mike (Mickey) Cahill and Daniel (Rocky) Cahill. Doris was the family Matriarch with many Nieces and Nephews. She was truly loved and will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held at Quealy Funeral Home on Sunday July 9th from 3-5 PM. Followed by a funeral home service at 5 PM Interment will be held privately at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
