Edward J. Herman of Fairhaven, passed June 4, 2020, age 71, loving son of the late William Herman and Virginia (Seppala) Herman; Beloved husband of Mary A. Herman of Fairhaven; Loving father of Edward J. Herman Jr. of West Bridgewater, John P. Herman of Weymouth, and Phillip D. Herman of Seattle, WA; Loving brother of William Herman Jr. of Middleboro, Betty Ann Needham of Randolph, and the late Robert Herman; Beloved grandfather of Thomas, Nicole, Victoria, Julie, Nathan, and Charles.
Edward enjoyed, Biking, Sailing, Traveling, Driving, Cruising, Boating, and Dining Out. He was a member of the the Army National Guard, Rotary International, Abington, MA, US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 6-5, Acushnet River Safe Boating Club, Suomi Talo-Finland House, Lantana, FL, and Finish American Club, Lake Worth, FL.
He was the founder in 1976, of the now 2nd generation family business at Rt 18 Auto Body Inc. in Abington.
Arrangements by the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday June 9 from 5 to 7pm. A funeral mass will be held in St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington on Wednesday at 9am. Please go directly to St. Bridget Church and the church is currently at a 50 person capacity. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.
