Elliot C. Patten, age 95, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and formerly from South Weymouth and Abington, Mass. Elliot died peacefully on March 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at Brookdale of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Elliot proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was eager to share his war-time stories with any patient listener. He graduated from North Quincy High School and was an avid sailor in Wollaston Beach where he grew up and spent a good part of his youth at the Squantum Yacht Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for most of his life and worked for J.O. Ross Engineering in Boston as a draftsman until his move to Florida in 1968 and worked for Pratt & Whitney. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Jean, and they were married for almost 72 years. Elliot also leaves behind his daughter, Janice, of Palm Beach Gardens, and was predeceased by his son, Kenneth, and his daughter, Leonie Jean. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Sandi, Kenneth and Jennifer, and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler and Tory. He was also Uncle El to Diane, Bruce, Donna, Beverly, Susan and Gail.
Visiting hours will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Friday March 16, 2018 at the Quealy Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, MA followed by a funeral service at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Mt.
