Theirs is a love story for the ages. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Katibian and Thomas Crook of Easton, MA., Laurie and Robert Buxbaum of Hollis, NH., Sandra Meegan of Abington, MA., and Susan and Thomas Hickie of Pembroke, MA. She was the fun loving, energetic Nana to her 10 grandchildren, Kelly Crook, Daniel and Michael Buxbaum, Jill, Jessica and John Meegan, Lauren, Cassandra, Tommy and Caroline Hickie who cherished and adored her. She is survived by her loving sister Margaret (Carol) Talanian and many nieces, nephews and friends. Above all else, Evelyn was a committed wife, mother and Nana. She relished in the happiness of her family, putting their needs above her own. She enjoyed dancing and daily outings with her husband John, spending summers at the beach with her grandchildren, many weekend get aways with her daughters, and her Friday night card games and trips to the casino with her siblings. Evelyn loved to socialize and made many friends. She loved reading, puzzles, shopping, babies and animals. Often referred to as feisty, she was kind, warm, generous with an amazing sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
A visitation for Evelyn will be held on Sunday August 14, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Quealy & Sons Funeral Home, 116 Adams St., Abington, MA. Funeral home service and interment at Blue Hill Cemetery will be private.
