Irene Marie Hermes                       Born 12/17/31 Deceased 4/19/2020

Loving mother, loving grandmother, loving sister, loving aunt, loving neighbor, loving friend. Irene will be remembered by the loved ones she has left behind who cherish loving memories of her determination, her courage, her thoughtfulness, her wisdom, her grace, her faith, and her contagious laughter and spirit. We will miss her, but know Irene is now God’s special angel watching over us all.

In a note to all, Irene wrote, “Do not stand at my grave and cry - I am not there. I am watching over my sons and their loved ones. I love you -Mom.” 

Irene included this short prayer, and the song below in her resting wishes:

“I’m writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God, above.

I am resting here with the angels, who surround me now with love.

But though I may seem far away, we will never truly part;

For part of me lives on with you, forever in my heart.”

Saints of God, come to her aid, come to meet her angels of the Lord.

May Christ, who called Irene, take her to Himself.

Give Irene eternal rest, O Lord, and may Your light shine on her forever.

Receive her soul and present her to God the Most high.
